When i was younger i remember going to a dance with my friends we had to go past north stifford church towards grays to this dance evening.
we all was allowed to go as long as we were back by 12 as our mum an dads thought that was late anough so we agreed to be home then.
We was enjoying ourselves and dancing and having a great time but was aware of the time and our promise,at some point in the evening a friend told me someone had gone down my coat she saw a boy going through my purse it was was missing and it had my money in i found it empty on the floor I was a bit worried about getting home as i wanted to get a taxi the other girls said lets walk home there is four of us ,so thats what we did
One of the girls shoe heels broke so she was slower so her and another friend said walk ahead to be home ontime as me an my other friend had further to go we got to the church in north stifford and we was saying please someone stop and get us home on time with that a old couple stopped and they gave us a lift from the church and got us home safe they were really friendly
The next day i saw my other two friends and they had been given a lift from an old couple outside the church and safely arrived home on time.
I found out years later a girl was attacked by the church in north stifford trying to get home when she was young .
I want to say a big thankyou to the old couple that stopped for us all
 ive never forgotten them .
